Understand what
has been built.

We begin with the company and its owners: customer relationships, operating know-how, cash generation and the reasons behind a potential transition. Initial analysis and conversations establish whether the business fits our investment approach and where a new owner could add value.

ROMA / Ownership & succession

The next owner.
The same ambition.

A change of ownership should begin with what makes a business worth preserving.

An ownership transition is more than a change in the shareholder register. It raises practical questions about continuity: who understands the customer relationships, where decisions sit and how knowledge passes from one generation of leadership to the next.

Our starting point is the business that already exists. Understanding its strengths and constraints makes it possible to consider a new chapter with respect for what has been built. Capital is one part of that conversation; alignment on the future is another.

ROMA / Industrial businesses

Beyond
the spreadsheet.

An investment thesis becomes meaningful when it meets the operating reality.

Financial statements describe results. Understanding an industrial business also means understanding how those results are produced: capacity, workflow, customer concentration, maintenance requirements and the working capital that keeps production moving.

We see financial analysis and operating judgment as complementary disciplines. The model frames the questions; the business supplies the context. Bringing the two together is central to how we assess an opportunity.

ROMA / Transactions & capital

Structure follows
understanding.

The right financial structure starts with a clear understanding of the decision.

Before a transaction is a process, it is a set of objectives. An owner may be considering liquidity, succession, an acquisition or a new stage of growth. Each situation brings a different balance of priorities, timing and constraints.

Our approach begins by making those objectives explicit. Valuation, financing and transaction design can then be considered together, with the business and the owner’s priorities at the center of the analysis.
